Heart of the Bloodstone

Five days before Samhain, when evil witch Matlyn intends to use the one remaining bloodstone to wreak havoc on the world and dominate other preternaturals, the only hope is for the triad to find the stone in time. Only problem is, where’s the triad?

White tiger shifter Regina has been undercover in Matlyn’s world to find the other triads and capture the other bloodstones, but this last threesome is eluding her and her Elders have given her no clues. While undercover, she has unexpectedly fallen in love with the dark faerie Jessup, who indulges all her appetites—even for a little light spanking when it’s called for. It isn’t until Matlyn calls in rival dark faery Notus in to break up Regina and Jessup that they learn he is the third, and they themselves are the triad.

An interesting setting in Bavaria and author Melinda Barron’s always-smooth prose move this short novel along through backstabs and double-crosses and a mystery about the naming of certain dark faeries’ anatomical parts. Very light BDSM play and m/m/f ménage will keep the readers of erotica happy while the urban fantasy fans will enjoy the triad’s adventures both public and private.

Regina would love nothing more than to shift into her tiger form and play all day long, then spend the evening having hot, sweaty sex with her dark faerie, Jessup. But there’s only five days until Samhain and the triad has not arrived to claim the bloodstone, and it’s her job to help them when they arrive.

Her foes have other ideas for Regina. They’ve summoned another dark faerie, Notus, to try and break her and Jessup apart. But when Notus arrives, Regina discovers that finding the triad is no harder than looking at herself and the two faeries who want nothing more than to tie her up, then send her flying.

But they're going to have to balance bedtime play with hard work to get to the heart of the bloodstone and save the world.
