The Geek Job

Eve Langlais provides her fans with another erotic and witty winner. I alternated between fanning myself and chuckling out loud on this one.

Lexie is one fantastic heroine. I love that she is so tough and doesn't apologize for it. What makes it even better is that the hero doesn't want her to change. Who doesn't love a leather-clad hard-bodied werewolf? The fact that she's a female adds a nice twist to the average storyline. Anthony is smart and sexy and I have a soft spot for nerdy guys. And it is another wonderful surprise that he is human. These characters are so engaging that I honestly believe they could have carried the story without any interaction with anyone else or added elements, but the action was so compelling that the story just flew by and before I knew it, it was over. This was a scorching hot paranormal romance and it confirms this author's spot on my must-read list.

Lexie is a lone-wolf who bows down to no man, be he human, vampire or were. She makes her living as a hired gun and doesn't bat an eye when she takes an assignment as a bodyguard for a human scientist and must pose as his girlfriend to get close to him. She never knew the geek job would be so enjoyable and could perhaps lead to love.

Book Blurb for The Geek Job

Protect the geek, that's the job she's been hired for, but little did this she-wolf expect to fall for a man of science.

As a werewolf who hires out as a bodyguard, Lexie is paid well to perform dangerous jobs. When she takes on the protection of a science geek for a vampire clan, she doesn't expect her temporary girlfriend status to come with lots of pleasure. But a geeky human who pushes all her right buttons--and plays her body oh so right--isn't reason enough for her to break the rules and fall in love.

Everything changes after an incident in the lab, but before she can decide if it's safe to give him her heart, she has to help him survive.
