Recipe for Love

Dyann Love Barr dishes up a delightful romantic suspense story that is a must read. Tilly Danes is a complex heroine. I found her very likable and as a fan of curvy gal heroines I enjoyed that she was a successful woman who had a few obstacles to overcome from her past. I also loved the fact that there were two sexy men interested in her, the typical good guy cop and Jordan Kelly, the competition who drives her crazy. I enjoyed watching Tilly and Jordan sparing it seems that they loved pushing each other's buttons and the sparks lit up the story. Mystery and comedy are a wonderful combination when handled well and this story did a fantastic job of balancing the humor and the suspense. Okay I admit it I'm addicted to food television, whether it's about technique, competition or behind the scenes gossip I can't get enough so when I read the description for this story it was a given I wanted to read it. If you are looking for a comedic, culinary crime novel I recommend you give this one a read.

When Chef Tilly Danes joins sexy Jordan Kelly as a judge on the Culinary Channel’s Personal Chef Showdown the only thing they can agree on is the fact that the third and final judge is a jerk. But when said jerk winds up murdered they find themselves embroiled in the investigation and soon they are turning up the heat and discovering just how steamy things can get, while avoiding being served up by a killer.

Book Blurb for Recipe for Love

Eat. Love. Murder.

Sparks and insults fly when Top Chef Tilly Danes matches wits with the annoyingly sexy Jordan Kelly. As members of the judging panel for the Culinary Channel’s Personal Chef Showdown, they agree on only one thing:  Maxwell Etheridge, the third judge on their panel is an arrogant pain in the butt. Neither one would mind seeing him strung up like a ham hock. When their nemesis shows up not only dead but also missing an important body part, Tilly and Jordan are thrust smack in the middle of TV's most shocking homicide...

Everyone is a suspect: the show's host, the contestants, and even the victim's lover. When Tilly and Jordan are pulled deeper into the investigation, those pesky sparks of antagonism transform into undeniable, incredibly inconvenient, red-hot attraction. And if they thought the sparks were hot while fighting, the heat between the sheets is an inferno. As the bodies start piling up, Tilly and Jordan must find the killer—and a recipe for love—before they become the murderer's next course!
