A Taste of Murder Love

Dyann Love Barr serves up a tasty murder with this clever, culinary cozy. Tilly Danes is an intelligent Southern lady with a butt load of get-up-and-go. I felt an instant connection with her and from the first I was invested in whatever happened to her. Jordan Kelly was just as appealing to me,in fact I might have felt a bond with him sooner than I did with Tilly because I worried along with him during that stressful dinner. The relationship between these two is fascinating. Watching them deal with their pasts, and their duties and responsibilities, while still handling their own idiosyncrasies and insecurities provides entertainment and inspiration. Although there is a book prior to this one, and I plan to read it very soon, I didn't feel as if I was missing anything essential to this story. I adored the supporting characters, especially Jordan's friend and I'd love to see him get his own story. This adventure had me smile and tear up too, it had me chuckling out loud and gasping in surprise. If you are a fan of cozy mysteries this one is a must-read.

Tilly Danes is juggling her culinary television career and the trials of raising her teenage daughter, while balancing her relationship with sexy, celebrity chef Jordan Kelly. Jordan blindsides Tilly when he proposes; she can't give up her commitment issues but can she give up Jordan? Things get even more dicey when their coworker is murdered and Tilly and Jordan once again work to catch a killer. Secrets come to light and the situation will either bring the two closer together or tear them apart.
