Murder Al Fresco

Southern Pasta Shop Mysteries book #3

Jennifer L. Hart reveals some longed for answers in this fabulously delicious cozy. Andy Buckland is back and just as fantastic as ever in the latest installment of this tasty mystery series. Andy's life has consistently gotten more hectic as the days go by but watching her handle pretty much every thing that is thrown at her is amazing. She isn't perfect and she is definitely not without faults but she is always authentically entertaining. I love how easily she gives herself over to her family and friends even when she's not happy with them or doesn't agree with something they've done. Without giving anything away, my heart melted at her acceptance and I held my breath in the hopes she would get redemption for the awful television debacle that started this series although truth be told I'm awfully glad it happened to her or I wouldn't have these fantastic stories to read. This installment brings back all the favorites from the previous story and ads a few special characters. I certainly hope that Andy gets into more adventures because watching her and Jones solving crimes together is a treat I don't want to give up. If you like your mysteries with a fun bite this is a must-read.

Redemption never tasted so sweet...

Andy Buckland is no stronger to TV. The worst moment of her career happened when a live studio audience got food poisoning from one of her dishes. But when the pasta guru is given a slot in the televised cooking competition Diced Showdown, she sees her chance at redemption. In exchange for the shot at vindication Andy and her fiancé, Malcolm Jones, are tasked to find the identity of a mysterious blogger who has a nasty habit of revealing detrimental secrets of the show's top celebrity chefs. A little undercover sleuthing is one thing, but when her hometown is taken over by the show's production and one of the judges winds up dead, Andy's afraid she's bitten off more than she can chew, and she might just choke on a dish best served cold.
