Lethal Game

Biological Response Team, #2

Julie Rowe presents readers with a fantastic follow up in this sweet and sexy action filled suspense. This story is about two of my favourite characters in quite some time. I'm truly all about the people I am reading about and if there is no connection I can't enjoy the book, but that was definitely not an issue here. Sophia is a spitfire with a chip on her shoulder bigger than she is. Connor is almost too good to be true but once I caught a glimpse of his flaws I quickly fell for him. I loved how action-packed this story was and how compelling the situation is without being unnecessarily graphically violent. The situation is dire but the book remains realistic without being over the top gritty. Danger and desire mix in the perfect balance that kept me glued to my ereader all night. This is the second story in the series and I enjoyed catching up with some of the characters I met last time around and meeting so many interesting new ones. I cannot wait to see what is going to happen next and just how the danger will be handled. I'm hooked and I believe you will be too.

Brilliant young research scientist Captain Sophia Perry is determined to make a difference before her illness makes it impossible to do so. She isn't used to being treated as anything other than an oddity until she meets Communications Sergeant Connor Button. Connor is the lone survivor from his team after a deadly explosion and he's intent on revenge even if he dies in the process. But soon these two find themselves fighting for their own future as well as the world's.

Book two of Biological Response Team

As the nation's youngest virologist and hematologist, Captain Sophia Perry has always been one step ahead of her peers. But there's one thing she can't beat—cancer. She wants to make a difference in the time she has left, so when she's sent to investigate a breakout at a Syrian refugee camp, she goes, saying nothing of her diagnosis. But saving the masses isn't easy when the man tasked to protect her is so irresistible.

Communications Sergeant Connor Button is back on active duty after a deadly explosion, but he doesn't feel whole again until he meets Sophia. Assigned to keep her safe, he's prepared to die for her, but for the first time in months he truly wants to live—if only she wasn't so determined to put them both in danger.

With a secret to keep and nothing to lose, Sophia is determined to find the source of the breakout at any cost. Violent attacks on the camp convince her that someone wants her to pay dearly. But as Sophia's health deteriorates, Connor must find a way to help her defeat her enemies before her body defeats her.
