Amelia Grey spins a delightful historical romance in this beautiful story. Miss Esmeralda Swift is a strong and capable woman and her prejudice against the titled and wealthy of the Ton makes for a very clear cut obstacle. However the Duke of Griffin is determined to get his way and while he could have come across as completely spoiled and obnoxious he is merely a man of his station with a kind heart and good intentions. I loved their banter and I loved even more Griffin's interactions with Esmeralda's sister. This story had it all humor, romance, adventure and I will admit to a few tears as well. I can't wait to read more stories featuring all these fascinating characters as I've become quite attached to them all. I enjoyed the setting and the descriptions which transported me to another time and place. If you are a fan of beautiful Regency romances I encourage you to pick this one up you will not be disappointed.
