Into the Night

Killer Instinct

Cynthia Eden draws readers into the action with this fascinating psychological thriller. Macey Night is one of the strongest heroines I have ever come across; she turned a horrific experience into an opportunity to not only move forward but to help others as well. She isn’t perfect, she has issues and barriers but she is determined and intelligent. Bowen Murphy is an amazing mixture of stoic FBI agent and angry man on the verge of erupting. Both of these people are so used to being controlled, controlling their actions and their feelings, so watching them become a little overwhelmed in both their work and their personal lives gave me great insight into their personalities and highly entertained me while doing so. The intricate mystery of just who the killer is and how they are remaining steps ahead of the FBI kept me flipping pages and trying to piece together the puzzle. I loved how there are so many different elements to "Into the Night", so many varied details and behind the scenes glimpses. The abundance of development and detail made this an absolutely fabulous read.

It’s Macey Night’s job to hunt down serial killers and because of her intimate knowledge she’s very good at her job. But soon she and her partner Bowen Murphy are hunting a killer who seems to know more than the FBI. Can they stop the killer and explore the new developments of their relationship at the same time?

Book Blurb for Into the Night

Two FBI agents are caught in a merciless vigilante’s crosshairs in New York Times bestselling author Cynthia Eden’s electric Killer Instinct series

Sheltered in the shadows of the Smoky Mountains is the suspect who’s summoned FBI agent Macey Night’s fears to the surface. Every day that the “Profiler,” a vigilante serial killer, escapes justice is another day she’s reminded of what it is to be a ruthless predator’s prey. Capturing him is a craving deeper than anything she’s felt in a long time. But Agent Bowen Murphy, equal parts sexy and volatile, seems hell-bent on changing that. Working together—needing, living and breathing each other—they’re entwined to distraction.

Bowen’s used to operating on impulse: act, don’t feel. Now Macey and the controlled terror behind her beautiful eyes have him rethinking everything, including his rule to never get close to a colleague. He’s willing to fight for a future with Macey, but the consequences of love could be deadly.
