Her Monster

Sam Crescent brings back the Carson family in the second book of the series and delivers a delightfully dark sensual contemporary romance. Caleb Carson is a dangerous man, feared by men and yet Faith finds comfort and safety from him. I loved watching these two struggle with their feelings at their unusual situation. This story entertained me and filled me with emotions. My heart broke a little at learning of Faith’s past. I enjoyed seeing simple pleasures through Faith’s eyes, her happiness at the little things Caleb does. She isn’t a stupid woman and with her life she is far from naive. She sees the goodness in Caleb. Seeing him accept that he could have goodness in his life that he even deserved it was wonderful. I loved watching these two come together and once getting together dealing with the complications. Their chemistry was absolutely combustible and just couldn’t be ignored. Having read the first story in the series I loved catching up with Caleb’s brother and nephew. If you are looking for a solid romance with a dark hero and a curvy heroine you can’t go wrong by choosing this one.

The Story: Caleb Carson can definitely give his older brother a run for his money when it comes to lying, hurting, killing and keeping the family crime business running smoothly. Faith has always just existed, trying to stay out of her neglectful father’s way. But he gives her to Caleb to settle his debt. How is it possible this monster makes her feel safe?

Book Blurb for Her Monster

Caleb Carson is not a good man. All of his life he’s trained to be part of the family business. The Carsons kill, they hurt, and do whatever is necessary to stay in charge. Still, when he’s handed an eighteen-year-old girl as payment for a debt, he’s pissed. He takes the girl and keeps her protected. In return, he kills her father, as he doesn’t like loose ends.

Faith doesn’t get attached to anyone or anything, and she knew it was only a matter of time before her father’s gambling affected her. Now she belongs to Caleb, but … he’s different. She knows he’s a monster, but Caleb intrigues her. When she’s in his arms, it’s unlike anything she’s ever felt.

Caleb doesn’t do love, and he never will. Faith deserves so much better, but he can’t let her go. Why not have something for himself for a change?

Will Caleb keep Faith and learn to fall in love? Can Faith bring herself to love the man who owns her?
