Fan Girl and the Geek

Boys of Summer

Krystal Brookes brings a smile to sci fi nerds everywhere with this fantastic story! As a huge fan of a few television space series I loved this adventure and I might just sign up for a convention if only I could be certain I’d meet my own sexy geek.

Shona Ross is an interesting leading lady, she is quite a fan but not a fanatic and I enjoyed how easy it was to relate to her and her best friend. Daniel Adams was a geeky child star but he’s grown up and is now a fabulous leading man. He seems practically perfect, just enough alpha male machismo mixed with gentlemanly manners and a virile libido. I loved how the object of Shona’s affection was portrayed and while I felt a little sorry for her because he was not the fantasy she’d built up in her mind I found him highly entertaining. This author writes with a charming style I’ve come to admire and I look forward to meeting her next group of characters.

Shona Ross has wanted to meet the man of her dreams for years and it looks like she will finally have the chance. When the handsome, noble captain from the television show she watched as a child doesn’t quite live up to her expectations she still seems unfazed. Will she give up her infatuation and notice the inept young co-star is now all grown up or will she ignore their mutual attraction for the chance at a childish dream?
