Doe and the Wolf

Furry United Coalition, #5

Eve Langlais never disappoints me and as a fan of her Furry United Coalition Series I have to say that this has been my favourite in the series so far and that is high praise seeing as I loved all the previous stories. Dawn is a wonderful heroine as she is such a complex mixture of gentle deer and a stubborn protector when needed. Everett is the sexy big bad wolf and he howled his way under my skin and into my heart. Tom his sidekick is the perfect foil for him and adds a very interesting perspective. It's fabulous to reconnect with some FUC operatives from past stories and great to know that they are just as entertaining as always. I love this author's style, she keeps me smiling so much while reading her stories that I feel as if I'm walking around with a big goofy grin on my face after completing the story. She weaves the perfect mixture of laughter love and passion and the worlds she creates are unparalleled. I cannot wait to read her next book and I have to say that the only disappointment I had with this story was that I finished it so fast and now I have to wait until she publishes her next one. If you like amusement with your ardour and a healthy dose of adventure than this one is definitely for you.

Everett was given the shaft a few years ago because he couldn't follow the rules but now the Furry United Coalition needs his certain skill set to help them track down some escaped prisoners who were experimented on by the evil Mastermind. Dawn is grateful that she hasn't turned in to a malicious mutant but not all the prisoners were so lucky. So as they track a very angry, altered lizard Everett and Dawn wonder if a wolf and a doe can find love with one another.

What happens when a predator falls for his prey?

Bounty hunting is the perfect job for a maverick wolf; flexible hours, decent pay, the thrill of the chase. But Everett never counted on a doe stopping him in his furry tracks.

Dawn was a prisoner of Mastermind and ended up experimented on, against her wishes. On the run from Furry United Coalition agents, she ends up in the arms—and bed—of a lupine bounty hunter. Instinct tells her to run when she gets a chance because everyone knows not to trust the big, bad wolf, but her heart begs her to stay.

When the result of genetics gone wrong rears its mutated head and threatens both of their lives, will they manage to survive and discover if a wolf deserves a happily ever after?
