Darkest Night

Sons of Broad, #1

Tara Thomas weaves a fascinating romantic suspense in this first book in a new series. Tilly Brock and Keaton Benedict are one of those rare couples that just clicks from the moment you see them together. I knew they belonged together and I knew that it would be outside influences affecting their relationship and not their feelings. The action swept me up without overwhelming me or the story. The relationships in "Darkest Night" are complex yet simple and gave me a feeling of connection. I don’t think I have ever been so disappointed to have a book come to an end as I was with this one. I was completely frustrated that I didn’t have all my answers and explanations tied up in a bow. I wanted to start the next book right away as my head is spinning from the possibilities yet to come. I cannot wait to read about what happens next in the lives of the Benedict brothers. If you're looking for a smart, yet sweet, suspense story this one is a must read.

The Story: Tilly Brock’s life is not what she had expected it would be when she was a young girl and infatuated with Keaton Benedict. But she can’t afford to think about the past as she is working at a strip club while going to school. Keaton can’t believe his eyes when he sees Tilly. He thought he’d lost her years ago because of circumstances beyond his control. But he’s determined to keep her in his life now, if only he can manage to keep them both alive.
