C. B. Clark takes readers on a fabulous adventure with this romantic suspense story.
Detective Chase Brandon is a man who sees the world in black and white. Life is right or wrong and he believes every action has a consequence. Natasha Hartford is a woman who has seen a world of black and blue and she just wants to live her life in peace. Watching these two people come to terms with not only the scenario they find themselves in but their emotional baggage and their budding feelings was a pleasure. I loved how gritty and realistic things between them sometimes got. I enjoyed the ups and downs of their relationship and how intense things became as they delved deeper into the mystery and into their feelings. I loved the roller coaster ride I felt I was on while reading this book. I laughed, I cried, I gasped out loud and I couldn’t wait to see how the adventure would end.
If you’re looking for romantic suspense that traumatized it’s lead couple a little before giving in "Broken Trust" is definitely the read for you.
