Born to Be Wilde

The Wildes of Lindow Castle, #3

Eloisa James is a shining star in the historical romance genre and this delightful tale demonstrates just why.

Lavinia Gray is enchanting; her wit and her charm were only enhanced by her own unique intelligence and her superior strength. She had her flaws too, which only made her more endearing. Her reactions to Parth Sterling made me heart skip and blush along with her. I felt her embarrassment at some of her past actions and her helplessness at the present situation.

Parth is one of the most fascinating leading men I have come across. His history and his ties to the Wilde family in and of itself makes him beyond interesting. But his intelligence and determination take him above and beyond. His success with his businesses, his comfort and connection with his family, his steadfastness with his friends makes him a practical paragon. Well not quite a paragon, thank goodness his sometimes sharp tongue and quick judgement make him a truly believable hero.

Witnessing these two both tiptoeing around one another or bulldozing straight into each other was a definite joy. The surrounding family, friends and supporting characters added such a depth to the lead couple and the story itself. I opened the first page and the next thing I knew it was well past my bedtime. My eyes would barely stay open, but I could not stop reading until I read the last word. I know you will enjoy this one as much as I did.

The Story: Lavinia Gray finds herself in a horrible fix and when she turns to Parth Sterling he refuses to go along with her plan to marry her but decides instead to find her a perfect match. But even as he finds her perfectly suitable suitors they don’t seem to be the right match. Perhaps the right one has always been seen as the wrong one?

For beautiful, witty Lavinia Gray, there’s only one thing worse than having to ask the appalling Parth Sterling to marry her: being turned down by him.

Now the richest bachelor in England, Parth is not about to marry a woman as reckless and fashion-obsessed as Lavinia; he’s chosen a far more suitable bride.

But when he learns of Lavinia's desperate circumstances, he offers to find her a husband. Even better, he’ll find her a prince.

As usual, there’s no problem Parth can’t fix. But the more time he spends with the beguiling Lavinia, the more he finds himself wondering…
