Victoria Laurie lets readers see beyond the everyday with this intriguing cozy mystery. Abby Cooper is a psychic with an attitude that I couldn't get enough of. Her relationship with her best friend and her husband made this such a treat.
Beyond the suspense and while unraveling clues what I believe I enjoyed most was the realistic relationships the heroine had with her closest confidants. I like how matter of fact Abby's abilities are and how the other three main characters look to her to confirm their suspicions. I enjoyed the fact that the victim turned suspect is someone so close to Abby and how she already has a connection to him. How she is worried about her husband's business and how she doesn't just want to find the answers but she desperately needs to know all the details of what has happened. I enjoyed how skillfully the author pulled together security knowledge, scenery, characters and clues. This is a well-paced, well planned and well executed mystery. I'm looking forward to seeing what else Abby is able to see in the future.
