The Rock Maiden

A Chinese Tale of Love and Loyalty

"The Rock Maiden", by Natasha Yim, is a delightful legend with Chinese origins. The pictures are pretty and quaint, much like the story. I like the simple words and the tale of loyalty and love. While this story is fiction, it is based on a true story. I enjoyed reading about how the author visited the real statue when young. Young minds love to stretch their imagination and this story does that. It would be a fabulous story for parents to read with their children.

Book Blurb for The Rock Maiden

The fisherman eventually finds his way home?only to discover that his wife has been transformed into the Rock Maiden. Will the family forever be kept apart? Or will devotion and faithfulness ultimately be rewarded?
