Every day gargoyles watch over the city from their perches on a library in the busy city of New York. At night, they shift to their human form. Roman has waited or centuries for his mate and when he finds her, he's driven to make her his. Christiana is a waitress at a dead end job in an abusive relationship and doesn't expect to be whisked away and thrown into a world she never knew existed let alone a war.
"Her Knight in Shining Stone" is a great quick read. I wish the story had been longer because it somewhat felt rushed, but it was still enjoyable. It kept my interest from the beginning and had a strong plot. Both the main characters; Roman and Christiana were strong characters, easy to relate to, and had great chemistry. "Her Knight in Shining Stone" is a spicy read but due to its short length, there wasn't a lot of build up towards the sensual scenes of the story.
As a Gargoyle shifter of New York City, Roman and his four brothers sit on top of the city library all day in their stone form, watching and waiting. On sun down they come alive and that is when Roman feels the tug towards his Beloved—the woman who he will be united to.
