Grave Fortune

"Grave Fortune" by Nancy E. Polin was an okay read for me. I enjoyed some parts of it but some parts of it fell a little flat for me. I felt like the story was circling instead of evolving, but then maybe that was the author's direction since it is the first in a series. I did like Dana's personality, which shines throughout the story and adds a strong foundation and I hope the author unfolds the scope of her special abilities. Joseph is an intriguing character and a strong one and I really want to know more of his story-after all he has lived quite a long time. I recommend this book on the condition that the reader knows up front that it is more like an introduction and if you're not going to follow the series or if no other books are written following this one, it might be a little bit of a dry read.
