A Face in the Crowd

Cristina Kirby’s “A Face in the Crowd” is one of those books that has the reader going, "What If"! I love these kinds of books because it does happen where someone so big, (a rock star, actor, star football player) could and does fall for the average girl. The two main characters, Lexie and Oliver, are both written well. The author does a great job of showing how different their lives are. But at the end of the day it is just a guy crushing on a girl. And that is what makes the story so good.

The secondary characters are awesome as well and I would love to read their stories. If you are looking for a feel good read, then I recommend “A Face in the Crowd”.

The Story: What if you had the chance to get to know a famous crush? Would you treat him as a normal guy? Or would you go full on fan girl and scream your head off? These are things that Nurse Alexis Hightower has to think about in the seconds she finally does meet her hot crush, Oliver Honeycutt. When his brother ends up being one of her patients, she has the chance to find out could he be interested in her. When he has his choice of thousands of beautiful women, will she be the one for him? But she has a job to do. Oliver's brother Bailey is her patient. She has grown fond of him and she needs to be focused. Plus Oliver is worried over his brother. Is now really the time to pursue your crush when his world could be falling apart?

Book Blurb for A Face in the Crowd

Alexis Hightower considers trust a four-letter word, and she has no intention of getting serious with anyone. After all, her day job as a nurse is plenty serious enough. On one of her nights off, she attends a concert for her favorite band and ends up on stage. She never expected to meet the legendary singer in person or that he would be the one to make her question her way of life. But how do you learn to trust again when the one you want is desired by thousands?

Oliver Honeycutt has it all, success, fame, admirers, but when his family is faced with the unthinkable, none of it matters. Stranded in Atlanta, he meets Alexis, who’s unlike any woman he’s known before. As his attraction grows, plans for the future change, which leaves someone desperate to keep them apart. But Oliver won’t be easily discouraged. To have a future with Alexis, he’ll do whatever it takes to make her see the man behind the image.
