Taming the Country Star

A Hometown Heroes Novella

Taming the Country Star is the first book I have had the chance to read by Margo Bond Collins. I'm a country music fan so the title caught my attention.

Kylie Andrews met Cole Grayson on a vacation without knowing his last name. They formed a connection and then something went wrong to quickly tear them apart. Kylie has kept a distance from most things Cole Grayson since then. When her best friend acquires front row seats at Cole's concert, Kylie is forced to face Cole for the first time since their hot and steamy vacation romance.

When Cole sees Kylie in the front row of his concert he cannot believe his eyes. He has been wanting to see Kylie since their time together, however he didn't quite know how to find her.

Cole shows up at Kylie's store and a lot of things happen from there on. There is some humor, a few very touching moments, and some steam once they work a few things out.

I really enjoyed this story. I think it showed a great behind the scene's life of a famous person. Some celebrities would like to have a little privacy from their adoring public. They don't mind the adoring fans that like them, it's the paparazzi that can twist and turns things to make them look bad.

I really enjoyed Kylie and Cole's story. It was fun, romantic, steamy read that was rather short. I was able to read this story in one setting. The story was entertaining with enough drama and humor to keep my completely captivated from the beginning until the end.

I really enjoyed that Kylie had such an awesome friend to have her back and to be there for her to lean on when she needed her. Cole leans just a little bit on the friend as well to set a few surprises up for Kylie. These two do have plenty of obstacles to overcome in order to be together. Kylie has a few fears and memories from the past that she has to deal with. Cole has to show Kylie he really can be trusted.

On the overall I really enjoyed Taming the Country Star. It has a nice county theme which I really liked. I found Margo Bond Collins to have a nice writing style that I found enjoyable. I would certainly be interested in reading more of her work now. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up more work by her.
