Hannah awakens in the pre-dawn hours to find a man looming over her as she lays in her bed. With his hand on her mouth and his body lying over her pressing her into the bed fear floods her and her heart thunders in her chest. With her mouth covered she pulls his scent into her body and freezes momentarily. She is a wash with the knowledge the he is aroused, but more perplexing is the fact she can feel her own arousal rising for him. She wonders what is wrong with her and begins to fight her assailant.
James Morgan has come to reunite a long lost daughter with her father. He never expects to find his mate as well. Trying to get Hannah to come with him of her own free will is next to impossible. Especially since she believes her father died when she was still just a young child. James knows he cannot return without Maxwell Stone's daughter, but how do you explain to someone that they are living a lie. Even more than that to tell her she is not human, but a wolf and his mate. He must fight this attraction and complete the task set for him by his Alpha. Oh, and leave the Alpha's daughter alone and he might live another day. But God his wolf claws at him to claim his mate. With someone else wanting to claim Hannah as his own James and Hannah must work their way to her father before the danger that follows them succeeds in their plot to take Hannah from him and use her to harm their pack.
Becca Jameson has provided a short but complete story for our reading pleasure. The story is well written and not rushed. From the opening lines to the last you are held captivated. I found myself wishing the story to continue so I could follow their lives even farther. Thank you Ms. Jameson for another wonderful story that your imagination has shared with us.
Hannah is living a normal human life in Boston, until she’s kidnapped from her bed by a man she finds herself undeniably attracted to. James is living a normal lupine life in Seattle, until he’s sent to abduct a woman who disappeared from his pack years ago.
As Hannah and James hurry across the country to reunite her with her family, they must battle his need to claim her. But their lust is overpowering, threatening to consume them both. Mating between the two wolves is unavoidable.
Will their union alone be enough to stop a crazy man from attempting to steal Hannah from James? And will her father forgive their mating and accept the union with open arms?
