Better When He's Bad

Welcome to the Point, #1

Bax is out of prison and looking for answers. He’s a bad guy so he doesn’t care who he has to hurt in order to get what he wants. But when he meets Dovie, who is too innocent for his taste, what will happen?

At first I thought I would dislike Dovie. I am a really big fan of strong female characters. So it worried me a bit that she wasn’t going to be strong enough, but she turns out fine. She wasn’t too timid or got scared too easily. I seriously love the scene when Bax shows up at her apartment to find out what her relationship with Race was and how she responds to him. She does not back down easily and Bax is taken aback by her actions. Throughout the book she always manages to surprise him.

This book is so intense and so hot. I loved it so much. I loved it to the point that I will reread it again. Since I have a lot of books to read, I don’t do that often. But I will make this book an exception. It is that good.

Bax is so badass. Every time he makes love to Dovie I felt like the pages were on fire. It is so hot. The whole book is just awesome. I couldn’t put the book down once I start to read. From the start I know I’m was going to like Bax even though he was bad. I’m such a sucker for characters like Bax!

Read this if you haven’t already. This is the first book in the series and I am definitely looking forward to reading Race’s book next. Jay Crownover just became one of my favorite authors.

Book Blurb for Better When He's Bad

The New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of Rome returns with a combustible new series that is sexier, darker, more dangerous—and better than ever!

There’s a difference between a bad boy and a boy who’s bad . . . meet Shane Baxter.

Sexy, dark, and dangerous, Bax isn’t just from the wrong side of the tracks, he is the wrong side of the tracks. A criminal, a thug, and a brawler, he’s the master of bad choices, until one such choice landed him in prison for five years. Now Bax is out and looking for answers, and he doesn’t care what he has to do or who he has to hurt to get them. But there’s a new player in the game, and she’s much too innocent, much too soft…and standing directly in his way.

Dovie Pryce knows all about living a hard life and the tough choices that come with it. She’s always tried to be good, tried to help others, and tried not to let the darkness pull her down. But the streets are fighting back, things have gone from bad to worse, and the only person who can help her is the scariest, sexiest, most complicated ex-con The Point has ever produced.

Bax terrifies her, awakening feelings she never thought she’d have for a guy like him. But it doesn’t take Dovie long to realize . . . some boys are just better when they’re bad.
