Now that he is with her again he’s determined to make sure that his heart doesn’t get in the way again. Yet when he’s near Rachel all he can remember is the night she gave herself to him. It was a night that brought happiness and peace for the first time in months. Now he is on a job that he must complete with her help but knowing what it entails though breaks his heart. He cannot let Rachel do it no matter how convincing she is of being the right person to bring down Ethan Wycliff. He is a man who sick, perverted and thinks he’s the next God. Can he convince Rachel that he needs her badly in his life and not a cult leader like Ethan?
This is the first in a new series and what a great way to start off. I loved that even though Rachel keeps denying the love she still has it bad for Nate. Now Nate sure is a slow man when it comes to love but once he realizes it the passion is higher than ever. Brenda Novak did a great job in bringing the story line of Ethan Wycliff to life. Here is a man who is sick all the way and demented in an evil way. The action that Nate and Rachel go through will blow your mind away. Great job Brenda.
Paradise? In name only…
Nate Ferrentino and Rachel Jessop are operatives for Department 6, a private security company, and they’re going undercover to expose a new and dangerous cult.
This group has taken up residence in the Arizona desert, in a ghost town called Paradise. Members worship at the feet—and in the bed--of its charismatic leader, Ethan Wycliff. On his orders, they tried to stone a woman to death. And they’re implicated in the disappearance of a teenage girl.
To expose the Church of the Covenant, with its arcane rituals and debauched practices, Nate and Rachel must pretend to be married. That’s the only way they can get in—but being Nate’s “wife” is the last thing Rachel wants. She and Nate have a one-night history that’s just an embarrassment to her now. But they don’t have a choice. Wycliff has to be stopped.
