Ava Spencer hates Cade Gallari with a passion that everybody in town knows. Seeing him back in town she knows it is time for revenge. As a teenager she wasn’t the usual cheerleader but instead she was the shy and fat bookworm of a girl. All her friends knew of her crush on Cade but knowing that he slept with her because of a bet turned that love to hatred. Seeing him again brings back all those hateful memories. He is Hollywood’s golden boy and she is determined to make his life hell. Ava didn’t expect though that Cade would be different now and somehow smitten with her. What started out as revenge has turning out to be something naughty and dirty. They sizzle whenever they get together. Can she continue with her game knowing that this time it will be her heart and Cade’s that could get hurt?
One word for Susan Andersen is wow. I loved the whole concept of the the shy fat girl getting her revenge, yet she falls for the one who broke her heart. Don’t get me wrong, it is a common theme. But with Susan Anderson she did it in a clever way. The heartache that Ava still feels for Cade is strong yet the passion hidden inside them is stronger. One minute they’re arguing and the next they can’t keep their hands off each other. This was a hilarious read. Great book.
When old enemies are thrown together, all bets are off.
Way back in high school, golden boy Cade Gallari publicly revealed he'd slept with "fat girl" Ava Spencer to win a bet. Now a decade older and a head turner with her own concierge business, Ava isn't the gullible dreamer she once was- and she plans to prove it when Cade, hotter than ever, breezes back into town with an offer she can't refuse.
A documentary film producer, Cade is shooting a movie about the mysterious mansion Ava inherited. And he wants her as his personal concierge. She's certainly professional enough to be at his beck and call without giving him everything he wants. Like another shot at having her in his bed. But Ava doesn't count on Cade's determination. Because he's never gotten over her- and he's not above playing dirty to score a second chance at a red-hot future.
