Her Mother's Killer

Thea Warren doesn’t want to go back where she used to live. No the little Texas town she grew up in holds betrayals, lies and murder. Instead of happy childhood times she is haunted by the murder of her mother. Even now years later she is still having dreams of that night. She doesn’t know who the other voice is. She just knows that her life will never be the same. They all say it was her daddy who killed her mother but she knows the truth. Or at least she thinks she does. Her ex-husband said she is weird and suicidal. She knows someone is out to get her. What she didn’t expect from her move was Duncan Perry. Here is the guy she had fantasized about for so long. At the time she couldn’t do anything because he was her brothers best friend. Seeing him all grown up now is making her libido go crazy. She knew he was gorgeous but never knew how arousing his kisses could be. Even though she feels safe with Duncan she knows the killer is still out there. Somehow the killer knows she and her family are too close for comfort. Can she find out who it is before it’s too late?

Melissa Schroeder has done it again in this utterly suspenseful story. Throughout each chapter you can tell how scared Thea is yet also feel her bravery. She won’t just sit down and she is ready to face her fears. Now Duncan, oh man talk about gorgeous. He is a sheriff who knows how to protect his woman and a lover who knows how to be romantic. He is a great man for Thea. Melissa created so many twists and turns in the killer’s identity that by the end I was like no way. Her Mother’s Killer is definitely a recommended read and praise for Melissa in keeping the action and suspense throughout the book.
