Finding Perfect

She was supposed to get her cat. It was just her cat and nothing else.especially her embryos. Pia O’ Brian has no motherly bone in her body yet her best friend entrusted her with her babies. Now she has no idea what to do but for some reason her best friend, Crystal, wants her to carry her babies. Pia has never been the motherly type and doesn’t want to be one at all. Yet she owes it to her friend to carry her last wish. Pia has been the woman from the other side of tracks, the one who got away with everything. Yet ever since her death and the responsibility of being the holder of the eggs she feels different. Everybody knows Pia as a carefree wild woman, not a motherly type baking cookies kind of a woman and it scares her how her life is changing. She especially feels different when Raoul Moreno pays attention to her. Pia has no idea why he would be interested in her especially now when she is pregnant. Can she have time to be a mother and find love at the same time?

Raoul Moreno knows about being orphaned, feeling like nobody loves you and knows what Pia is going through. He understands why she is taking over and feels the bond to protect the babies even if they’re not hers. All his life has been centered in sports and his career so now he’s ready to retire. It was a plan he was waiting for. He never expected Pia to enter in his life. Something about the woman takes his breath away and the thought of her taking on kids yet single disturbs him. Somehow he feels responsible to help her in every way and determined to get his way. Can he make Pia see that it is for the kid’s sake he stays in her life? Or is it more than just the kids .can it be love?

Susan Mallery has done it again with Finding Perfect. I loved that we got to see a little of Pia in the first book but more in this one. Pia is definitely a misunderstood woman yet is determined to make a change in her life. Now Raoul is the man who completes her in every way. These two together were great together and the bond that forms between them over the kids is genuine. Definitely Susan did a great job on this and I can’t wait for more from this talented author.
