Detective Ash Kendall has been living life like he usually does. He's a hard working man. The thing is that even working multiple hours hasn't made the memory of Rachel Stevens go away from his heart. He is known as Casanova Ash, never taking any woman seriously. But Rachel is different. Knowing that one night with Rachel is making him a daddy should scare him, but it is far from that. Something about Rachel being a mother to his child feels right for him, yet she is hiding something. Finding out he is going to be a daddy to the mother that is setting a killer free is not what he ever dreamt of going through. Yet this is not your usual killer, but a man who killed his parents. It might have been years ago, but the pain and heartache is still there. Can he convince Rachel that she is wrong on setting the killer free?
As a DNA profiler Rachel Stevens takes her job seriously, but this new task is ripping her apart. The man she is setting free is the same man that killed her lover's parents. However, saying Ash Kendall is her lover is far from it. Known as Casanova Ash she knows he will never take her seriously. Yet the possibility of a child is not what she wanted in the way of their relationship. Bringing a baby into her world is new for her, but seeing Ash paying attention to her is beyond new. Can she accept his attention? Is he paying attention towards her or the baby?
Detective Daddy is definitely one to read. You get a modern day bachelor and a woman who makes him complete at every turn. I loved that Ash Kendall is so into his work he forgets about the one woman that sticks to his side. There were times I wanted Rachel to just leave him, but he is a guy needing a good woman to love him back. These two were great with each other, but at times I wanted them to just do it and make up. All in all it was a great book to read. It was suspenseful waiting to find out who the real killer is. Great job.
He learned he was going to be a daddy the same day his parents' murderer was set free. But Detective Ash Kendall was determined to keep it together. After all, one woman was at the center of everything, and Rachel Stevens had a lot of explaining to do.
The lovely DNA profiler had no idea her evidence would reopen Ash's old wounds. Despite all they'd been through, she hadn't stopped loving the man who just found out he was going to be a daddy. And with someone desperate to keep the secrets of the Christmas Eve Murders hidden, Ash was the only man who could protect Rachel and her baby.
