All I Ever Wanted

Calliope Grey has just had a miserable day and to top it off it is her 30th birthday. It is a big milestone for her and she just wants everything to be normal. She thought she had it all and found the perfect guy. The thing is that perfect guy, Mark, has found someone else. Calli spent years waiting for him to reveal his feelings and now it is too late. All she wanted for her birthday was a marriage proposal with the man of her dreams, not to be dumped and alone. Not only is it her birthday but she must renew her license. It's just another reminder of things going wrong for her. Yet she expected a lot of things but none like Ian McFarland. Here is a guy so opposite from Mark but something attracts her to him. Not only does she have to deal with the new guy but her father of all things wants to reunite with her mother. Confused about her new feelings for Ian she knows things will get trickier each day with her parents. Can her thirtieth year be the year she has been waiting forever?

Ian McFarland has been burned in love before and now just wants to lead a normal life. Since coming to the small town he has seen all types of women vying for his attention. Yet Calli is an unusual woman that captures his interest. He knows fate must be playing a trick on him for meeting her twice in one day is too much. At first she seemed like a woman in hysterics after losing her man but spending time with her is making him wonder if maybe she's a lost cause or just needs a good man in her life. As a veterinarian he knows that people are still weary of him and wants things like they used to be. Calli is just what he needs to boost his business but his heart is something else. Can he keep things professional with Calli or will he be a goner to love again?

Kristin Higgins has done it again with All I Ever Wanted showing us that love does exist in unusual ways. The chemistry between Calli and Ian was funny to read about. Ian is definitely not in the market for love but seeing Calli just enchants him. All I Ever Wanted definitely has comedy all the way from a birthday in a funeral, parents rekindling their lost love to two people denying love. These two are definitely opposite for Calli is a free-spirited woman just wanting a good man to love her. Now Ian just wants to forget about everything that happened in the past and lead a quiet life. These two are definitely what each need to find that love that has been missing from their lives. Great job!
