A Midsummer Night's Sin

The Blackthorn Brothers are back with the story of Puck a.k.a. Robin Goodfellow. Puck is known for being a walking Lothario yet mischievous all the way. Every woman falls for his charm and quick wit. It is this quick wit that gets him in the path of Regina Hackett. This is a woman who won't take no for an answer yet is opposite of his other women. She is cautious about everything and this somewhat scares Puck. He's been known to date women who take risks and not care about anything. As much as he tries to ignore Regina he knows she needs his help desperately. Can he help her knowing that she can never be his at heart?

Regina Hackett's one night of recklessness gets her into trouble. She loves her cousin but some things are just too much for her to handle. Going to a masquerade is one thing but being kissed by a man like Puck just scares her. She has read about Robin "Puck" Goodfellow in the gossip sheets never expecting to be with him in real life. The sheets tell about his wild escapades, lovers but none have prepared her for his utter charm. Puck has been there for her in every way and now that their time is almost over she is afraid. Can she learn to live without him after everything has been settled?

Kasey Michaels has done it again in another book about the bastards, the Blackthorn Brothers. Three brothers and already we know about two men that have captured our hearts. We learned a little about Puck in the last book, but this story is all about him. Just like his other brother love hits him unexpectedly. Regina is nothing like his other women and I loved that it surprised him. These two were so funny to read about for you have one person who loves to have wicked fun and a woman who is cautious about everything in life. Kasey Michaels did a great job in showing us that even though he's a bastard by heritage he is a man who can love with all his heart. I loved it.

Meet the Blackthorn Brothers—three unrepentant scoundrels infamous for being mad, bad and perilous to love.

Handsome as the devil and twice as tempting, Robin “Puck” Blackthorn lives for the pleasures of the moment. His only rule—never dally with an innocent woman. But when an encounter at a masquerade ball leaves him coveting the one woman who refuses to succumb to his charms, Puck realizes hat some rules were made to be broken…

Scandalized to discover that the masked man with whom she’d shared a dance—and a forbidden embrace—is in fact the ton’s most celebrated rake, Regina Hackett vows to keep her distance. Yet when her dear friend vanishes, it is to Puck that Regina must turn. And as they embark on a dangerous journey through London’s darkest alleys, Regina will discover that beneath Puck’s roguish facade lies a man who will stop at nothing to protect her—or to convince her to take a chance on an unrepentant sinner.
