"Seducing the Fireman" written by Jennifer Bonds is a cute, sexy story. I felt like there were only two real characters in this story everybody was just the fluff to keeps things going!!! I also think this was fun and an easy story to read. There was definitely some comedy to this story. Kind of a book to read on the beach or at the pool.
The title is interesting since I think the female character seduced the male character just as much as the other way around. It is a nice that Jax and Becca have such a deep history together. It’s also sweet how they found each other again after so many years.
Becca tries really hard to put off Jax but I think she does just the opposite in her quest to be tough with no connections. Connections that prove to be very interesting!!!! These two characters spend some wild time together and before you know it she is keeping Jax to the curb. Along with Jax, I was thinking what just happened?! Oh well, I guess that’s what Jax gets for flaking out on Becca so many years ago or did he?! Young love or like! Whatever it maybe.
Jax is another good character. Love how he was able to push all Becca’s buttons in a pleasing and frustrating way depending on what the situation was at the time of the story. He was an overall good guy for Becca, her family, and fire buddies. I found this book to be overall a good fun-loving story.
I thought the story was written smoothly. It was clear to the audience. There were some great parts to the story but I think it was missing something. I am giving the story 4 stars. I hope to have the opportunity to read another story from this fabulous author!!!!!!
Firefighter Jackson Hart is back in Brooklyn and on the hunt for the girl who’s kept him burning for ten long years. The girl he left, in a total prick move, without saying goodbye. Now he’s determined to make it right, to hell with her three-date rule.
But Becca’s not ready to forgive and forget. In fact, she seems determined to stoke his fire every chance she gets. She wants to avoid sexy distractions like him? Fine. Because what she doesn’t know—yet—is that Jax isn’t the kind of man to give up when he wants something. And he always gets what he wants.
Each book in the Risky Business series is a standalone, full-length story that can be enjoyed out of order.
