Sea Glass Winter

A Shelter Bay Novel

During Technical Sgt. Dillon Slater’s deployment in Afghanistan, his job was finding bombs and rendering them useless. This was very hazardous duty but, all he could think of was going home very soon and working as a teacher and basketball coach at a high school in Shelter Bay, Oregon.

Claire Templeton and her teenage son have moved from Los Angeles to Shelter Bay. She did this to get her son, Matt, away from bad influences at the LA high school he attended. So as the story begins, in Shelter Bay, it seems to be a great set-up for these two, Dillon and Claire, to get together. However, Matt’s attitude does not improve as school and basketball starts. (By the way, Matt is a very tall young man who is really into basketball.) Matt’s hard-headed actions bring the handsome basketball coach to see Mom and she thinks, at the beginning, that this role model for her teenage son might just be too much of a temptation for mom. Even though Claire is not looking for a lifelong relationship, Dillon is.

This is a fun book to read as most people have been stuck in situations like this which sometimes work out beautifully and some do not. This is a very charming book that will fill up an afternoon of reading
