Book 1 in the Red Velvet Rope series.

The moment that Katherine Higgins hires Seth Kyoto she's headed for trouble. Once Seth and Katherine start working together, their attraction is off the charts. While Katherine is completely in charge running her casino, she yearns for Seth to take her; submit to him. Seth, too dreams of Katherine submitting to me. One day, Katherine overhears Seth talking to Josh about going to a club for work, so Katherine decides to follow them. Much to her surprise and interest it’s a BDSM club. What she sees excites her and intrigues her. When Katherine's life is threatened and Seth moves they give into their mutual passion.

Ms. Aidan is a new to me author and wow, I couldn't get enough of this story. The main characters are richly written and the secondary characters play an important role in the story. While the sex is not plentiful, it’s appropriate as Katherine learns to submit to Seth outside of work. There is a bit of humor as both Seth and Katherine redefine their roles outside of work. The suspense element is wonderful and not drawn out.

While the secret that could tear them apart is there, it was great to find out what it was. I look forward to the other two books in the Velvet Rope Series. Ms. Aidan has me hooked on these characters and the characters that are coming up. Great job!
