Temptation Rising

the Shadow Shifters, #1

Kalina's a cop who's just trying to do her job. Finding Roman's connection to a drug cartel should get her a promotion to the DEA. She doesn't realize there's more going on than meets the eye. When Roman is introduced to Kalina, his new employee, he knows from her scent alone that she's the woman he rescued two years previous. Roman's been living in the world as a lawyer, trying to hide the fact that he's a shadow shifter. When he can't seem to get enough of Kalina, he knows his life is about to change in a big way.

I've kind of overlooked the paranormal genre in the past. Once I began reading Temptation Rising, I started to regret that I haven't gotten into this genre sooner. This book has depth and an interesting storyline, complete with unique characters that will keep you entranced starting at page one. The attraction between the characters is immediate and intense. The sex is frequent and oh so explicit…totally awesome! That's an excellent hook to slowly reel in a romance reader and have us hanging on until the end, where we'll be caught and suspended, anxiously awaiting the next book in this series. I can't wait for more!
