Knowing the Ropes

Selene just moved from a big southern town to a small Boston town to continue her work and to get over a relationship. She also wanted to look into more of a doom/slave relationship because she finally realizes that she is a submissive

Nick is a doom and every one of his friends in the lifestyle knows it. He just ended a doom/sub relationship himself and is only looking to play and not have anything serious. He never thought that by meeting Selene that he would fall in love and wants her forever.

Nick and Selene met at a kinker’s party thrown by mutual friends of theirs. They instantly clicked with each other. So they decided to go out to dinner and maybe even play together. They never thought that one play night together would bring them closer to each other then they thought or wanted.

In the beginning of the book our characters just wanted to have fun together. They both got out of relationships recently and did not want to jump into another one so quickly. They both never considered that they would fall in love with each other. They also never thought that they would never want to get married or stay together.

As the book continued Nick and Selene got closer and closer. They even share most of their past with each other. Then things take a turn.

I found their way of proclaiming their love interesting.

I love how the author wrote the book. Her writing of how they got together made me feel like it could actually happen in real life. The way that the author wrote their sexual scenes together made you love the way the characters were together.

I cannot wait to see if there is more written by Teresa Noelle Roberts. I am looking forward to reading more of her books. I highly recommend this book and author to those readers who like a little kink in their romance.

Book Blurb for Knowing the Ropes

They’ve got the sex factor in spades. But can love survive the “ex” factor?

Selene has harbored kinky, submissive fantasies most of her life, but her experience as a domestic-abuse counselor leaves her leery of giving up that much control. Case in point: the ex-fiancé she didn’t love quite enough to test the limits of trust.

At a BDSM meet-and-greet, she sets out to learn how far is too far. Nick seems like the ideal dom to show her the ins and outs of ropes, floggers, and paddles—with no commitment clause.

After losing a sub he loved too much, Selene’s country girl common sense and smoking sensuality is like a dream that Nick never dared to have—a perfect blend of kink and long-term domestic bliss.

Yet it’s tough to figure out just how far they can push their limits when they’ve both agreed to a no-strings affair. Especially when an ex needs Nick’s muscle and Selene’s counseling skills to get out of a dangerous situation. By then it may be too late for love to survive all the things they’re afraid to say.

Warning: Sexy, kinky, geeky dominant guy. Smart submissive woman. Crazy ex. A little experimentation between girlfriends. And lots and lots of kinky sex.
