Guilty as Sin

Kate has lived through a tragic past and has become estranged with her family. She became a spokesperson for a charity for missing children. She thought she would be one person to help families with missing children so that no one would feel like her family did when her brother died. By going to her family’s old summer retreat, a lot of old emotions and people came back into her life. She just never thought that being in her old vacation spot that she would fall for her old love all over again.

Tommy who lived through a tragic experience that was not even his fault became a computer nerd. He has helped people look for others and even helped find out things about people no one else knew about. He volunteered to help a dear friend of his to find his child. While helping out his friend, he ran into his old love. Little did he know that he still had the same feelings for her from all those years ago.

At first Kate was not really welcome back to the small town except for a few people. A lot of them still thought that she was responsible for her brother’s death all those years ago. But as her reputation became more and more into light, people started warming up to her again. She just did not realize that by working with the police she would also have to work with her old love.

For both Tommy and Kate it is hard for them to keep their feelings out of their investigation because they are working so closely with each other. Then something bad happens and Tommy realizes that he is still in love with her and will probably always be. For Kate it takes a little longer for her to realize her feelings because she does not want to mix up her personal life and professional life.

I completely enjoyed this book. It was suspense from the very beginning. The author wrote an amazing book and completely sucked me in from the very beginning. I highly recommend this book to readers of all kinds.
