Sam is from Colorado. He is in New York to make extra money in the winter time. He is a very laid back kind of guy and he is completely out of his element in the big city. He gets a job helping to decorate the city by putting up trees all around the city. On an off day Sam is window shopping and sees a window display that is under construction. He takes a peek inside and sees the most beautiful woman. Little does he know that he will fall in love with her.
Nicole is a born and raised New Yorker. She knows the ins and outs of the city like the back of her hand. She is also a freelance window designer. Her dream is to have her own company. She first sees Sam when he is being a peeping tom in a window display she is designing. She thinks he is very handsome, but isn’t looking for any type of relationship. She hires Sam to help her with the window display and they get to be friends. Little does she know that being friends with Sam means her falling in love with him.
The whole book is both in Sam and Nicole’s point of view. We are able to know what each of them are thinking throughout. As Sam and Nicole get closer and closer their feelings became more apparent. The only issue is that Sam felt he should fall in love with Nicole because his home is on Colorado. Nicole didn’t want to fall in love with Sam because she knew he was only in New York for a short period of time and then she would never see him again.
The more Nicole and Sam spend together the more they fall in love with each other. Nicole finally knows her feelings for Sam when he leaves unexpectedly. Will Sam literally became her cowboy under the Christmas tree?
I loved how the author wrote the book. It had the right amount of humor and details. Since I am a New Yorker myself, I analyzed the details a little more when New York City was described. I have to say the author was spot on with her city details.
I completely enjoyed reading this book. A Cowboy Under My Christmas Tree is definitely for those who want to find love in the most mysterious places.
Sam Bennett left a snowbound Colorado ranch for the glittering steel canyons of Manhattan - temporarily. Hard work was never this much fun as he sets up Christmas trees all around town. And now that he's met Nicole Young, a gorgeous window designer, four weeks won't be enough to romance her the way he wants to. But with Christmas around the corner, every day together feels like a blessing. And as the spirit of the season takes hold, playing Santa and helping out a small boy with a big holiday wish is a joy Sam and Nicole can't resist. Neither of them imagines that they'll be rewarded - with the kind of love that lasts forever.
