When the Crows Fly Low

This story was not only an intensely beautiful read, but it was also heart-wrenching with its diverse plot. From the opening chapter the author held my attention throughout the book, and by doing so the story flowed perfectly without anything missing from the actual line.

As a reader, I have always considered myself someone who is drawn to stories that involve the twenties and this book certainly began that way and followed to present day. The story of Will was not only one of mystery and of romance, but of struggles that were not only realistic for myself, but were also relatable to me.

By the time the introductions to both Will and to Sarah, the heroine of the story, was over I was already rooting for the duo to discover love and a life together. I think Will's dilemmas outweighed Sarah's within the book which I found to be fine considering the fact that this is Will's story. I did however wish I could have known Sarah a little more in this book, but overall I'm very happy with the twosome as characters.

The writing itself is very good. Entertaining, certainly. I favored how Patterson told the story with ease so that it did not become too overwhelming. Without a doubt I think Patterson is an author to watch in the years to come for her ability to tell a story filled with the same faults that we as individuals face each day.

I'm very satisfied with this story and I'm greatly looking forward to future releases by the author.
