The Viscount Who Lived Down the Lane

Rhymes With Love, #4

The Viscount Who Lived Down the Lane is by far one of the best historical novels to date. This novel was so close to perfection and I just adore Boyle as an author so for me this book was a win in all ways.

Having read this novel I have to confess that there were a great deal of things that I just relished about this book! To be honest it is extremely hard to just settle on a few things but I think what stands out to me the most is the romance exchanged between the hero and the heroine. From beginning to end the romance in this book swooned in so many ways that as a reader I just could not get enough of it! This is the ideal romance for any reader.

Of course no one who reads this novel is going to be able to overlook Viscount Wakefield, the hero himself. Wow, what a hero! He is a tortured soul with devilishly good looks and an beastly attitude to match. Boyle did an outstanding job penning Wakefield and he has been added to my list of heroes that I just cannot get enough of. As for Louisa, the heroine she has a beautiful, child-like soul but not to the point that she is overbearing. She's young in nature and she stood well next to the Viscount without her presences seeming misplaced.

The plot of this story I would say is somewhere between being on the sexy side and yet at the same time it is charming in many ways. I loved the balance that was created among the actual plot because it kept me entertained throughout the time I spent reading. To be truthful I didn't feel like I was reading at all. This novel is such a breezy read and I think everyone will be comfortable with it. The sensual scenes might be worthy of blushing over but such scenes are not too worrisome if you are reader the fears that sort of thing.

I'm very happy with both Boyle and for myself for selecting this novel for review and I think that if you as a reader read this novel then you too can share in such joy.
