Every Little Kiss

A White Pine Novel, #3

As I first read the synopsis for this title I was expecting a giddy yet fun romance novel that would reflect seasonal holiday, but sadly this novel overall just did not work for me. I think the real reason behind my disappointment was that I felt like the author was trying immensely hard to convince me that the hero was going to deliver some rare and slightly exotic sensual feels to the heroine rather than simply allowing the chemistry to unfold.

Lately in romance novels (this book is not an exception) I feel like authors are trying too hard to win the reader over with crowding our minds with the fact that heroes are capable of having any woman that they may desire. I find this trait highly non-relatable considering the fact that this does not involve both the men and the women in the modern world. It certainly does not appeal to me. So this concept alone completely overshadowed what I did enjoy about this book.

The positives were there, although hidden to the point that I had to find such things, and one of the pluses of this book was that this was a second chance novel. Casey, the heroine was looking to start over within her life. She was ready for excitement and a fresh start. I enjoy these romance-themed novels and I felt these positives added a fresh vibe to an otherwise standard romance.

Another plus I had with this novel was the concept of the chemistry between both Casey and Abe, the hero. The chemistry wasn't too cheesy in the beginning as it was only heated. Had the author played sorely on the attraction I know I would have favored this book.

From my own point-of-view I have doubts about recommending this book to fellow readers although I have enjoyed other books within the White Pine series, this is one book that just wasn't right for me.

Book Blurb for Every Little Kiss

Eternal good girl Casey Tanner moved to White Pine for a fresh start. Her mission: to finally have fun. And a fling with a reckless bad boy is the very first item on the to-do list she pretended not to make. After one long, lingering look at a sexy firefighter, Casey has found her man.

Getting women into his bed has never been a problem for Abe Cameron. Letting one into his heart is an entirely different matter. But just one kiss, just one touch, just one smile from beautiful Casey has this lifelong bachelor flirting with the idea of forever. And Casey's refusal to settle down only makes Abe more determined than ever to win her heart. Now the one woman who can't be caught is the only one Abe can't live without . . .
