Callie Holiday has returned to Vegas to open a spa but she needs financial help. She applies for a loan and meets her childhood friend, Gage Reeve. Gage is now a billionaire property developer with ties to all things Vegas. He helps Callie with a spa location and finances, but finds himself falling in love with her. Can this relationship work or will this be just another gamble in Vegas.
This book is set in Vegas with all the glamor of the city, but it also has a real personal feel. Callie is divorced and returning to Vegas where she grew up. Callie is likable and is strong. She is trying to find her path with a new career and a new relationship. Gage is many things, wealthy, cowboy and property developer. But most important, Callie friend from school. It’s nice to see the two friends rediscover each other and find love. The story is fast paced and the characters are likable with enough background information to keep your interest.
I’m looking forward to Gage’s other family finding love in this series. I would recommend reading this first book so you are ready for the next book. I know I will be waiting to read it..
The Billionaire Cowboys trilogy by best-selling author Kristina Knight kicks off with a seductive story of long-simmering feelings and hot Vegas nights.
When Vegas Nightly names local property developer Gage Reeves as its sexiest bachelor, he's barraged with a stream of showgirls, local socialites, and entertainers who all expect something from him. But all Gage wants is to make a success of his new luxury shopping development.
Enter Callie Holliday. Callie dreams of having the hottest day spa in Vegas, but she's saddled with a bad location and an account balance full of zeroes. When she walks into a last-chance meeting with an angel investor and finds herself face to face with Gage, the childhood friend on whom she had a huge crush, she's not sure his reputation is the right match for her business. But then he offers her a storefront in his new high-end retail complex, and she has to admit it's a thoroughly tempting proposition. But feelings she thought were long buried threaten to turn their deal from strictly professional to decidedly personal.
It's risky business gambling on love . . .
