Dante Blackstone made a deal with the devil and became an Immortal, indebted killer. He is an assassin for the Devil and he feeds him with evil souls. After killing one he comes to find Jessica to deliver a message of remorse. Jessica and her brother ran away. She’s going by the name of Hannah. When found by Dante her life changes. She heals him and they go on the run. Can she be the one that helps him break his contract? Read the book and find out.
This was my first time reading this author. I found this book well paced and enjoyed the story. Dante is your typical Immortal. He’s tall, dark, and sexy. Hannah is shy and hidden. The two together complimented each other. Dante takes care of Hannah and that is his redemption in the end.
This is the second book in The Hell to Pay series. Dante’s friend Pete and Allie take center stage in book one. They are mentioned in this book. I had not read the first book when I took on this book. I found that the author gave enough background information in this book so I really didn’t miss not reading book one. But you may want to read it to get the full story. If you are a fan of these types of books I recommend this book and the whole series.
