Bound by Fire is the second book in the Cauld Ane series. This book is about Connall and Pepper. Connall is traveling in the United States when he detects his mate. Her pain draws him to Pepper who is being terrorized by a stalker. Pepper an American working two jobs and training her horse is being stalked by someone. Connall through the bond feels her pain and confusion. How will Pepper accept the bond and deal with a wealthy lifestyle that she knows nothing about? Pepper may surprise you.

Book 2 gives us a little more background of this race. The bond of a mate across distance is a magical thing. Our characters are well written and they seem well suited to each other. As in the first book our heroine is swept off her feet and thrust into a new life, but in this story we have a stalker to give the story an extra twist.

The book is a true follow-up to the first book and needs to be read after book one, don’t skip ahead or you will be lost. Characters from the first book make an appearance and strengthen the story line. A recommended read if you have read the first book and if not get the first book then read this one.
