A Second Chance was a good read about finding love again when both parties lost their partners in the line of duty.
I liked the characters personalities, that one was more reserved and that the other was a little more of a risk taker. I also liked that there was the issue of rank between them and the complications that that could cause.
Having said that, and that within the length of the story there is only so much that can be told, A Second Chance felt incomplete and too short. I would have liked to know more of their story, what happens next, what happens if/when someone does find out that the relationship between Daniel and Farris is and how it gets worked out.
Works great as a beginning for something more.
Two cops who've lost their partners in the line of duty and life are both lonely but hesitant about beginning a relationship with someone new. Will one of them accept the others proposition to start over or remain alone because of their places on the police force?
