A Curious Beginning was in a word, magnificent! I am a big fan of Deanna Raybourn and her new character Veronica Speedwell is a delight! Top notch writing, sparkling dialogue and a surprise ending that I certainly didn't see coming. I couldn't stand to put it down as every page sparkled with wit and mystery. Now to anxiously await the sequel! Five stars to the fabulous Deanna Raybourn’s A Curious Beginning.

Veronica Speedwell’s day starts with a funeral and ends with a mystery.
