After reading Victoria Morgan’s “The Heart of a Duke” I couldn’t wait to read “The Daughter of an Ear” and I was not disappointed. The characters are easy to like, the plot is creative and exciting, and the romance steamy. I couldn’t set the book down. Morgan knows her audience and creates the perfect hero and heroine for a historical romance. Emily is stubborn, a bit brash, but caring and loves her family. Readers will love her. Brett is honorable and daring, and readers won’t be able to resist his charm. The intrigue and mystery of “The Daughter of an Earl” will keep readers up at night. The climax is fantastically written, and the ending is superb. I laughed, cried, and was outraged right along with the characters and they’ve stayed with me long after I’ve finished. This is a wonderful read not worth missing out on, and I can’t wait to read more of Morgan’s work.
