A bar fight, murder, romance, friendship, a handsome lawman, and a misunderstood heroine, Shelly Thacker writes all this and more in this creative story. Annie is one of those characters readers will immediately be drawn to. She is misunderstood by others and herself, but through friendship grows in confidence and self - worth. Lucas is the typical romance hero, arrogant, assured, but with a soft side hidden underneath, and really what more could a romance reader ask for in a hero. Lucas and Dr. Holts' friendship brings humor to "After Sundown," and all the characters in Eminence have great dialogue between each other. A few plot twists will keep readers on their toes, and the theme is sweet and pleasant. "After Sundown" is a gratifying read many will enjoy.
