Knots, #2

This was a cute; cleverly written story, if cute is a word that can be used in reference to a paranormal BDSM tale. This is book two in the series, but it can be read as a stand alone. Reading In Knots gives you the Alpha’s story as it relates how he and his mate act in this story, but it’s not necessary for the enjoyment of this book.

A gay kitty wants to play kinky games, lucky for him the Alpha of the Arizona wolf pack is the owner of a kink club and open minded about others joining his pack. Most of the wolves under him aren’t so sure or happy about a kitty joining them.

Sawyer enters the club Knots just looking for a good time. Fate throws him a curve when he smells his mate, his very wolf mate. His mate, who he finds out, is under contract to another Dom wolf. A Dom, who doesn’t want that contract to end. And kitties are possessive of their toys especially when that toy is his mate.

Bern is a fun character, seemingly timid and shy, but into pain and kink. That was an interesting combination for me. I loved his fear of the Alpha and the Alpha’s exasperation with it. Sawyer was well written as an alpha male in his own right, but playing that fine line of a Dom, other species and dealing with the pack hierarchy.

I can see where the author has the potential to expand and add layers to the world seen here. There isn't a lot of world building done, just the surface of the world inside the club. But still, I can’t wait to see where this author takes the next book in this series.

Book Blurb for Knotted

Sawyer was looking for a home, a place a werelion could be a werelion and a gay man could be gay. He just happened to be both. Lucky for him, the Arizona wolf pack's Alpha wasn't against adding cats to their ranks. Even better, they had their own BDSM club called Knots, where he could get his gay kitty kink on. While everyone but the Alpha wasn't happy about his joining, there was one particular wolf who was thrilled to meet him...his mate.

The question is, will his mate's last Dom leave them in peace or will Sawyer have to show the mangy wolf why lions are the kings of the jungle? (53 Pages)
