This fast read kept my interest throughout by dangling a mysterious past event as the underlying catalyst for many of the decisions and actions currently in formation as the story opens. Two storylines about a quartet of heroes is woven skillfully throughout the pages providing a mysterious element that became more complex and intriguing as events unfold. At times, I did have some trouble keeping the various characters attached to their appropriate timelines, and some of the logic occasionally became a bit fuzzy for me. However, the clues, doled out in stingy snippets, do come together finally to make a satisfying and unusual conclusion.
