Between Heaven & Hell

Heavenly Sins, #1

Synopsis: Angel Machidiel and demon Alastor have been denying the chemistry between the two of them for centuries because relationships between the two creatures are STRICTLY forbidden. However, when the human boy, Tristan, comes into play, and sneaks between the two longing men, things start to heat up as they all skid on thin ice for awhile in a ménage. As emotions raise, be it jealousy or passion, and of course, love, the three are greatly tested. Only time will tell if the relationship that has forged together is made for Heaven or Hell….

My Thoughts: At first I thought this story was going to be a bland version of every homosexual man’s fantasies come true. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the storyline is much more complex than that. Though there were times where I really wanted to walk away from the computer as I was reading, I stuck through and kept reading. I was pleasantly surprised by the very twisted ending, and I think you all will be, too. The narration in the story had a very familiar feel, which I like to see when I’m reading a book, rather than feeling like I just started reading all over again. There were scenes that I enjoyed a lot, and some that I felt were lacking a bit, but in the end it was still a great read. Though I think that the book was a little too long for the storyline, I really enjoyed how the book didn’t end with a super cliff hanger like another one would have. Over all, I would suggest this book to someone curious about Angels, Demons, or even people who just really want to see love in a different view point with a same sex couple, or learn that sometimes you can love two people at the same time. Like I said before, I sincerely enjoyed the book, and hopefully you all can too.
