Ravishing in Red is a brilliant start to a whole new series and it definitely opens up with plenty of action, suspense, and drama.
I loved Audrianna and Sebastian's story. From the very start, the fireworks between them were bright and clear. Audrianna and Sebastian are perfect for each other, in terms of intelligence, bravery, and their loyalty to their families. Audrianna gives as good as she gets, and it was truly amusing how much she confused and bewildered Sebastian.
As usual, Hunter's story is full of depth, even in the most unexpected areas. Sebastian's complex relationship with his brother, the play of power between his brother and mother, and the deep and almost unlikely love between the women of The Rarest Blooms -- I truly loved the complex interplay of emotions and relationships, all exquisitely woven into a cohesive and breathtaking whole.
I'm definitely looking forward to the next few books in this series, and I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for Daphne and Castleford's story -- separately or even better, together.
Audrianna Kelmsleigh is unattached, independent-and armed. Her adversary is Lord Sebastian Sommerhays. What they have in common is Audrianna's father, who died in a scandalous conspiracy-a deserved death in Sebastian's eyes. Audrianna vows to clear her father's name, never expecting to fall in love with the man devoted to destroying it...
